FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Six questions I am asked every time. The answers have figures in them and they apply to everyone.
What does a website really cost?
Between CHF 790 and CHF 2’490, depending on the number of pages. Landing 790, One-Page 990, Vitrine Essentiel 1’290, Vitrine Standard 1’790, Vitrine Premium 2’490.
That amount is firm. It is written on the quotation before the work begins and it does not change along the way.
Two things are added only if you ask for them: additional languages (CHF 490 to set up, then 790 for German, 690 for Italian, 590 for English), and the domain name and hosting, which are billed by the host and not by me.
If you change your mind along the way and ask for three more pages, that goes into a written amendment, with a price, before I start on it.
How long does it take?
10 days for a showcase site, counting from the day I have your text and your photographs.
It is not the day of signature that counts, it is the day the content arrives. In almost every project that runs late, it is the client’s text that is missing, not the supplier’s work.
If you have no text, we write it together. Allow one more week in that case.
The go-live date is written into the contract.
Can I edit my site myself?
Yes. Your text, your prices, your opening hours and your photographs can be changed from your browser, with nothing to install.
You receive one hour of training on delivery, with a recording of the session you can watch again.
What needs me: adding a whole page, changing the structure of the site, or changing the appearance. The rest is yours.
If you would rather not touch anything, say so: I will look after it. But it will be your choice, not a constraint.
If I want to change supplier, what happens?
You leave with your site. There is nothing to buy back and nothing to unlock.
The domain name is registered in your name from the first day. You alone control it.
The code of the site is handed over to you. The hosting logins are yours.
The text and the images belong to you.
In practice: you give your logins to the next supplier, and they get to work. You do not need my agreement, and you do not have to tell me.
Do I have to pay a subscription?
Not to me. You pay for the site once.
Two costs remain, and they go to the host, not to Sevy Créations: the domain name and the hosting. They are billed in your name, you see the exact amount, and you can change provider.
Allow around CHF 150 a year for the two together, with Infomaniak, in Switzerland. That is the price of one coffee a week.
A maintenance contract exists if you want one: updates, backups, small changes. It is optional and its price depends on the site — I will quote it on request. A site delivered without maintenance carries on working.
Why have my site in several languages?
Because 62 % of Switzerland speaks German, 23 % French and 8 % Italian. English is not an official language here, so a site in English alone reaches almost none of that market.
It is only worth doing if you sell beyond your own town. A neighbourhood hairdresser does not need it. A craftsman, a hotel, a manufacturer or an online shop does.
The browser’s automatic translation does not replace a real version: it translates the page once it is open, whereas Google reads the page before that. A German-speaking Swiss customer searching in German will not find an English page.
Allow CHF 490 to set up, then CHF 790 for German.
One important point: this set-up has to be done before going live. Added afterwards, it changes the address of every page and you lose the search ranking you have already earned.
Your question is not here?
Write it down. You receive a written answer, and if it is useful to other people, it joins this page.

| # | Point | Version anglaise |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Numéro affiché | +41 76 256 68 79 — format international, jamais 076 |
| 2 | Registre | Anglais britannique sobre, vouvoiement naturel, aucune familiarité américaine |
| 3 | Slogan et trois preuves | Repris tels quels : *Tools that work when you can’t.* · *Fixed price · On time · It’s yours* |
| 4 | Page Contact | Formulaire seul en avant. Aucun bouton d’appel. Téléphone en texte, section 5 |
| 5 | Confirmation d’envoi | La phrase « appelez, c’est plus rapide » est retirée |
| 6 | Étape 2 du contact | « par téléphone ou sur place » devient « by video call, in writing, or in person » |
